Weight-Loss – New Asic Running Shoes
I want to walk/run regularly and slowly build up a running regime. I use to run a ton in middle 20s to early 30s and I want this routine back. Due to my age, weight and availability this running routine has been on and off over the last year. I have tried and stopped due to injury and work related time constraints at least 3 times. Still, I want it more now than ever.
Today, I have purchased new running shoes to support my heel spurs. They hurt like a son of a bitch and I am working getting them healed enough to continue this running journey. I went in the sports store at the mall and went looking for a good sale. I run in Asics and mostly because my wide feet do not seem to fit into anything else. I purchased these GEL-Surveyor 5 for 900 Danish kr supposedly down from 1400.
One thing is for sure, do pricing homework. I am pretty sure that all sneaker brands purposely saturate the market with shoes at the same and different price levels to confuse the consumer and making it easier to up sell to a more expensive shoe. Most runners like me do not know enough and in the chain sport stores neither to the sales people. For example, I was one shopping at the local chain sport store where the GEL-Cumulus 20 new shoe was 1500 kr and when I asked the difference between this season’s shoe and last season’s shoe, which was on sale for 1000 kr. the answer was NOTHING.
This is where local running stores come in handy and where I would exactly pay the price for the running shoe knowing that I am getting the right advice for the right shoe.
